As TrueGuard’s founder, Tom Lail brings a new-construction and rental-investment perspective to property management. His focus is on modern homes and investing in new rental properties — connecting the decisions made today with the possibilities ahead.
Tom is also a mentor to all of TrueGuard’s property managers. Building TrueGuard means more than building a portfolio: it means helping the people who care for each property grow in their work.
New construction
From lot to front door
From lot acquisition to new construction, Tom and TrueGuard pursue and analyze lots and tear-down candidates across DFW — studying the site, the neighborhood and the numbers — to deliver the TG Duplex: 3,128 sq ft total, 1,564 a side, with 3 bedrooms a side, a 1-car garage, covered front and back patios, split backyards, granite counters, vinyl plank flooring and 10-ft ceilings. Alongside it, the TG Home: a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom,1,800 sq ft home inspired by the same clean-lined design.
Plan for 6–8 months to build, with timing dependent on permits, site conditions and the construction schedule.
